Bedfordshire A highly respected and established manufacturing company in the Bedfordshire area is looking for a Managing Director to lead its successful operation. The overall responsibility of the MD will be to guide the business into the future with planned growth, ensuring that all stated objectives, aims and targets are met and lead to the overall company goal and vision. What's the job all about? As the Managing Director you will ensure the company operates profitably and in an ethical manner in order to fulfil the objectives of its shareholders, customers and staff. You will implement operational strategies as per the company's Strategic Business Plan and monitor and control the company's performance and finances in accordance with the budgets approved by the Board of Directors. You will take overall responsibility for raw material selection including timely purchasing and utilisation and also liaise with clients and suppliers to achieve best practice purchasing. You will also prepare and authorise quotations in conjunction with the Commercial and Sales Director, utilising your developed contracts experience, and take responsibility for maintaining the company brand as the market leader within the industry To be successful in the role of Managing Director you will have: Developed contracts experience ideally within the construction industry (not retail or financial) Proven decision making, influencing and communication skills Proven experience of working at Director level Proven experience of leading a successful business into continued growth What's in it for me?
