• Project engineer heavily involved in introducing products (mainly the assembly of medical & health care products into a manufacturing facility (Clean Room, RF Welding & Textile Assemblies)
• Advising senior management on facilities & equipment required.
• Support existing product lines on technical support & process improvements.
• Liaise with suppliers to specify jigs, tools & assembly aids.
• Assist the MD with initial discussions with customers on new products.
• Work with customers to understand their technical requirements.
• Involved in the transfer of assembly/testing methods/skills to the workforce.
• Working for the Operations Director & with the Quality Manager advising on the setting up & maintaining of assembly lines working within the quality systems & manufacturing processes.
• Able to demonstrate an understanding of the assembly & testing methods both at the company & its customers.
• Able/willing to assemble & demonstrate hands on skills.
• Train staff to a competent level.
• Advise/assist the senior management in transferring/setting up assembly lines.
• Presentable and personable to customers, suppliers, visitors, directors & staff.
• Self starter with positive attitude & able/willing to travel both in the UK & abroad.
• Practical ability to carryout fine assembly work to an acceptable standard.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings & able to understand technical specifications associated with medium complex assemblies.
• Computer literate.
• Numerate.
• Able to communicate/train staff on assembly/testing methods.
Past experience on sterile medical products would be of assistance but not necessary
