ROLE DIMENSIONS


Working as part of a team, under the direction of the Sales Operations Supervisor.
The role entails cultivating and maintaining excellent business relationships with existing and potential customers.
Selling the benefits of the products provided by the business.
This role provides career progression opportunities in to the international sales team or marketing department.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES


To assist in the sales process from the generation of sales documentation such as quotations to the processing of sales orders.
To prepare customer proposals, including costs and quotes for price list products and to follow up on documents that have been sent to customers.
To handle a range of customer enquiries through to successful resolution, including company information, deliveries of orders, technical information etc. and provide a high standard of customer service via telephone, letters, and email.
Ensure quotes are issued correctly to drive sales conversion and reflect the high-quality of the brand.
To chase information and/or documents where required and maintaining the filing system.
Establish effective working relationships with various departments including; sales, marketing, operations, production, and accounts.
To organise and book travel arrangements for the sales management team.
To answer incoming main line phone calls and to redirect to various departments as necessary.
Control and assist with departmental administration to include; correspondence, filing, photocopying and cleansing data.
To ensure that all records and reports (manual or electronic on Sharepoint and the companies CRM account) are kept up-to-date and accurate.
To keep personal skills and knowledge up to date and to attend training when required.
To provide marketing administrative support with tasks such as the creation of technical datasheets.
To support the Sales Operations Supervisor and other colleagues with any additional duties or tasks as may be reasonably expected within the scope of the role.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE


GCSE level or equivalent to include English and Math's
Proven experience in administration, ideally customer services and/or sales
Graduate qualified and/or equivalent experience
Evidence of strong sales skills / process / quote handling
Customer account handling experience (CRM or equivalent database)
Strong planning, problem solving and organisation skills
Excellent interpersonal and client facing skills dealing with a range of enquiries
Ability to use a range of communication skills coupled with excellent telephone skills
Ability to work as part of team and on own initiative
Demonstrable good numeracy skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with a high attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Good research skills with the ability to source the required information
Persuasive, and ability to negotiate when required
Awareness of communications/satellite industry/technologies
