Our client is actively recruiting an HR Consultant qualified at MCIPD level to join their business and work closely with them to develop and extend a client base in mid-Wales and on occasions work with an existing client base in the Shropshire / Chester / Wrexham area.
The Consultancy enables the owners and managers of small, medium sized and large companies to manage their many and varied HR issues including: development and implementation of HR processes to improve organizational effectiveness; policies, procedures, compliance; employment law and legislation changes; company handbook, HR systems, audits; performance management, onboarding and training. To be successful in your application you will be confident and experienced in addressing employee relations activities including disciplinaries and grievances and working with unions. identifying learning & development gaps across the workforce and recommending appropriate solutions.
The successful, experienced HR Professionals within this Consultancy have proven hands-on experience combined with the ability to approach new clients through business networking and a range of professional marketing methods in order to establish trust and rapport with their clients and establish a track record of delivering the support strategies that companies need to succeed. To be successful in applying for this excellent opportunity you will need to clearly demonstrate an appetite for actively developing the HR Consultancy by promoting existing lines of business, promoting / securing additional lines of business and by obtaining referrals from new corporate clients. You will be capable of developing professional relationships with each client and understanding their needs and objectives.

- Providing a strategic, business-focused generalist HR service
- Identifying, guiding, supporting and advising on the effective people practices needed to achieve the strategic business goals of your clients
- Undertaking continuous CPD, with support from the Consultancy, to ensure you are able to offer your clients up to date HR policies, procedures and processes in line with current employment law, implementing changes and introducing new initiatives as required to support business needs and working culture
- Providing HR input and support to wider business projects as necessary
Our client is looking for a generalist HR Consultant who is an ambitious, self-motivated individual with proven generalist HR experience to assist our client to meet the demands needed to develop, support and mentor small, medium-sized and large companies in the mid-Wales area and on occasions work our client in Shropshire, Chester and Wrexham.
In particular you will:
- Possess commercial acumen and an ability to articulate and demonstrate the value added by the HR function
- Have thorough employee relations experience with excellent working knowledge of UK employment law
- Be degree educated, with CIPD level 7 accreditation (or working towards this qualification)
- Welsh speaking would be highly advantageous but not essential
- Be confident attending business networking events and promoting the business
