Accounts Assistant** POSITION FILLED

Our client is seeking a highly organised, numerate, and experienced accounts professional who can work within their accounts team. You will be confident learning new systems - there is plenty of training and support available.

Duties:

  • Assist Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts – balance sheet items
  • P and L review month, note any anomalies
  • The accounts system used is SAP B1 – this is relatively straight forward, full training will be provided
  • Excel – pivot tables wonderful but not essential
  • Processing and maintenance of the purchase and sales ledgers
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reconciliation of customer and supplier accounts
  • Reviewing monthly statements before distributing
  • Preparing recharges between the business entities
  • Raising transfers from stock
  • Creating and inputting journals from payroll records
  • Fortnightly Payroll – covering for the Payroll Manager on holidays
  • Answering queries in person, by email and on the telephone from suppliers and customers and staff from other departments to provide an effective and efficient service
  • Complete relevant administrative tasks such as scanning, filing and email inbox management to improve efficiencies
  • Provide cover within the Finance Team for payroll and data inputting

You will need the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working within an accounting role
  • Experience of payroll processing
  • You will be well organised with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks
  • A good communicator, you will build excellent relationships with key personnel across our Group finance teams
  • You have excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate work within challenging deadlines
  • Professional and discreet when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
  • Computer literate and able to use Outlook, Excel and Word efficiently•

Working hours: Tuesdays, Thursdays and one other day by mutual agreement: 9am - 5pm with 1 hour for lunch.

An hourly rat of £12.00 which will be paid weekly and you will accrue Holiday Pay from Day 1. Stakeholder pension if applicable.
