Management Accountant

Position Overview:
The role of Management Accountant has become available due to internal re-structure. The position reports to the UK divisional Financial Controller and will also be critical in partnering the management teams at the Leominster site.
The key responsibilities will be to assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts, Quarterly Forecasts and Annualised Budgets as well as supporting on developing the three-year strategic plan. Monthly forecasts will also be required for the business to support internally the supply chain and other parts of the operation. This is a key role within the UK business

An overview of responsibilities includes:

Assist in preparation of

Monthly management accounts preparation, review, commentary, and action plan
Monthly forecasts for internal review and action with management team
Quarterly forecasts for review and submission
Annualised budget preparation and presentation and submission
Capex proposal preparation

Support preparation of three-year strategic plans
Customer profitability assessment and decision on credit limits or support analysis for onward escalation for authorisation via SharePoint system
Support Management Teams for preparation of management information as required
Maintain and improve costing system, review, and advise areas for improvement as a result of analysing the relevant data across UK sites
Assist with adhoc report reports as required
Assisting with external and group advisors, i.e. auditors, insurers, treasury, banking, etc.
Identification of areas for process improvement either within the business or how we operate with the Business Support Centre

Experience within finance environment with exposure to commercial transactions and operations
Experience of working in a high paced company environment


Professionally qualified ACMA/ACCA … will consider Part Qualified

Key Performance Indicators

Timely delivery of all required outputs (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities)
Assist in delivery of monthly reports, KPIs and information to Business Units and within the FR team
Ensure compliance to Group Reporting timetable
