Our Client is looking to appoint a Quality Manager at the Leominster site. Reporting to the Site Manager, the purpose of the role is to control and direct all Quality activities for the Leominster operation. This is achieved by leading and driving continuous improvement through best practice and benchmarking to ensure quality accreditation is maintained and ISO9001 standards are met throughout our product and process designs.

The key responsibilities of the role include;

 

  • Promote and ensure safe working practice within the Leominster operation in line with the group values of Think Safe, Work Safe, Home Safe.
  • Manage and maintain the Quality Assurance system, regularly reviewing all documentation, processes, and internal auditing activity to ensure full compliance with ISO9001.
  • Promote effective and efficient Quality Management by influencing quality behaviour and develop a culture of continuous improvement across the Leominster operation.
  • Lead, motivate and develop departmental personnel to maximise their contribution to the effective operation of the department and the business.
  • Monitor the quality of products and processes and identification of root causes, together with corrective and preventative actions for internal reject and scrap analysis.
  • Manage non-conformance and customer complaints by implementing corrective action plans and trend analysis with a focus on root cause.
  • Plan and lead accreditation and customer audits as and when required.
  • Prepare and supply detailed reports and analysis on quality performance for the site management team.

 




Applicants should be highly analytical, well organised, accurate and assertive.

Applicants should ideally demonstrate a track record of delivering quality/process improvements in a high/medium volume manufacturing environment and managed a quality system that meets ISO9001 standards. IT literacy, strong report writing skills and a good working knowledge of manufacturing business systems is essential.

The successful candidate will possess the interpersonal skills to influence quality behaviour at all levels including the ability to manage a team. Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing would be an advantage.
